Prof. Dr Hanna Kuczyńska

In 2013, within a grant of the National Science Centre, Dr. Hanna Kuczyńska launched a research project entitled „The Accusation Model before the International Criminal Court. A Study of Convergence between the Legal Systems”. Dr. Hanna Kuczyńska also carried out the project „Cooperation with the International Criminal Court”, funded by the special purpose grants to help develop young scientists awarded for the year 2013/2014. In 2015, Dr. Hanna Kuczyńska published the book „The Accusation Model Before the International Criminal Court” (Springer 2015). In 2017, within a grant of the National Science Centre, Professor Hanna Kuczyńska launched a research project : “Compatibility of procedural institutions – chosen problems of internal harmony of a criminal procedure model”. This project is set to be completed in 2020.

2011 – third prize in the contest organized by the Foundation for the Promotion of European Law for the book “Common Area of Criminal Procedure in European Union Law”

2014 – research stay at the Max Planck Institute of International and Foreign Criminal Law, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany and in Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, 2015 –a scholarship and a research stay at the Max Planck Institute of International and Foreign Criminal Law, Freiburg im Breisgau

2016 – a member of the Judges Panel in the ICC Moot Court Competition 2016 for the written portion of the Competition

2017 – an expert at the National Science Centre – Sonata i Opus contest
From 2005 – a justice’s assistant in the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court

2014-2018 – European Higher School of Law and Administration – criminal procedure (lecture and seminar), European criminal law (lecture and classes), international criminal law (lecture), from 2016 – chair of the Criminal Law Department

November 2018 – Research stay in the Institue of Advanced Legal Studies, London, Great Britain.
